Snot is an American Punk/Alternative/Nu Metal act from Santa Barbara, California that was formed in 1995 by James Lynn Strait (vocals), and Mike Doling (guitar) after previous stints in local Punk outfits such as Lethal Dose and Kronix. Eventually, John Fahnestock (bass), Jamie Miller (drums), and Sonny Mayo (guitar) would join up, and they would form a cohesive unit. After creating a buzz for themselves in the L.A. underground scene, they ended up signing with Geffen Records in 1996. In 1997, they released their signed full length debut entitled "Get Some" to critical acclaim in the underground. However, critical acclaim in the underground wasn't enough to propel them to mainstream heights.
